A lengthy aging on the lees endows it with concentration and intensity.  It has flavors of white peach with a dry and clean finish. This is a great anytime kind of wine.

2007 Lagaria Pinot Grigio   $9
From Friuli in Northeast Italy, the Lagaria Pinot Grigio possesses pleasant floral, apple, apricot and pear aroma's. To intensify the aroma, flavor and weight, 10-15% of the wine is made from late-harvested grapes. It is a brilliant, smooth, medium-bodied, fresh and well balanced wine, with a refreshing fruit character and a refined elegance. And it's under ten dollars.

2007 Tedeschi Monte Tenda, Soave $13
100 % Garganega from Veneto, the Monte Tenda is a single vineyard Soave. The grapes are harvested by hand half-way through October (Garganega gives best results when it is a bit overripe). Its color is straw yellow that is both clear and transparent. Its bouquet is strongly fruity and complex, very clean with notes of dry fruit such as almonds.

2005 Castello di Volpaia, Borgianni Chianti $12
Mostly Sangiovese with some Canaiolo, the Borgianni is a lively ruby red with purple highlights. There are fine, persistent floral and red berry aromas on the nose. This is a rich, well balanced wine with a long finish.  The 2006 vintage has already arrived so they are offering the 2005 at this great price.

2007 Einaudi, Dolchetto di Dogliani 18.50   $25
Dogliani is a historic Dolcetto terroir in the Piedmont. The grapes are grown on marly-calcareous-clayey soil, with southern exposure on Guyot-trained vines. The Einaudi has a ruby red color with purple reflections, fruity aromas, good body, intense, fresh berry and underbrush flavors with an almond nuance on the finish.
